We were sitting at our table on the first day of 2011 when we looked out the window to see, what we thought, was a large flock of birds. To our great surprise, it was not a flock of birds! Will this omen be significant in 2011?

OK.. that was just freaky... glad you were INSIDE when this happened! I am NOT a fan of bugs of any kind but that was crazy!

O my! How many inches long are those things? That's amazing! Hope you are having a wonderful time.

Those swarms are almost as big as the flies in High level. I was sitting in a restaurant in Costa Rica and one of those Cicada's landed on a guys face! It was about 15 cm long and the chap almost had heart failure. Ugly little creatures. Oh, the things one has to put up with paradise! Then again there's Edmonton, 40 cm of new snow and a wind chill next Saturday of -38C. Happy New Year!
