The children wake early and all excited to be in each other's company.  Justin is egging the kids on trying to get them to jump on me and Noah.  I can hear Woody say 'don’t wake mum and dad, they will be mega cross’.  Woody knows we are not morning people.

I get up because I know it is really the only option I have.  I make brekkie for the kids and Justin microwaves some pizza – breakfast of champions.  Justin surprises us by having a carrot, apple, and lemon and celery juice to accompany his pizza.  I terrified at what his gut is going to make of so much fibre and chilli so early in the day.

The kids all eat brekkie nicely so they get a chocolate covered strawberry – they are over the moon with this!  And I fear now they may expect all their fruit to be dipped in chocolate.

Around 8.30am we head out to Woody’s footy.  It does not go ever so well.  Woody is distracted by Uncles Justin and his cousins and just wants to play with them.  So the others go and play in the park and I try and get Woody to concentrate on footy.  Overall, not a great day at footy.

We have a quick play in the park after footy and then we all head down to Broadwater Park.  The kids play on the climbing frame and then we stop for a ice cream picnic in the sunshine.  It is a gorgeous day.  The kids have a run around on the field and then we head over to the sand.

We set up the site for our family archaeological dig.   Woody has his dinosaur book so we know what they are looking for.  The kids get into it and manage to find a ‘dinosaur egg’, some ‘dinosaur teeth’, quite a few ‘dinosaur toe nails’ and some fossils.  The kids were pretty happy with this effort.  The find of the day was a T-Rex tooth – which was too big for us to get out of the ground.

We then head over to the bouncy pillow and Shea cannot believe her eyes when she sees it.  Noah and I join the kids for a bounce and they love it.  I am exhausted and sweaty from that jumping.  Ewww.

We head to the final park for the morning where Woody goes on the swings, zip wire and slides.  Shea runs around in the sand and goes on a twirly thing

And then we remember the car is on 2 hour parking and we have less than 5 minutes to leg it back to the car.  We all put a child on our backs and leg it for the cars.  We make it.  We say our goodbyes and Justin and the girls head back to Tarampa and we head back at home.

We all have lunch (actually Woody has 2).  Woody watches the rest of his dinosaur movie and then is starting to doze on the sofa.  So, Woody and I go for an afternoon nap for a couple of hours whilst Noah gets on with some work.

Woody wakes from his nanna-nap in excellent spirits.  Noah and Woody play Lego dinosaurs and I potter around a bit and then start on dinner and some tidying up.

The fellas head down to the shops to buy some bits for dinner.

I make a stack of veggie burgers, for dinner tonight and for the freezer.  I also make the best guacamole ever.  We assemble our delicious burgers and then wolf them up.  They are so so good.  Woody has a chicken burger instead and he is pretty pleased with that.

Woody gets ready for bed, and then has some cake and milk and skypes nanny and papa.  Woody shows his new sea creatures, builds a village out of Lego, we have a sing along, Woody tries on hats, reads Nanny and Papa a story and draws a picture of the Gruffalo all on Skype.  Woody is just lovely and super happy.  He is also completely tired so we say our good nights, read some books, and Woody is asleep in a heartbeat.

Noah gets on with work and I intend to o some work also but doze off on the sofa and try and pretend like I am not asleep.  Hmmmmm.

Good night.
