We start the day with a flurry of activity; which involves labelling jars, tying ribbons, adding tags, and printing forms, and baking a batch of biscuits. I had not realised how much we had done until I wrote it down!

I then take our bounty of achievements down to the preschool and set up our little baking display and feel quite proud

Back at home, I run out of batteries.  It appeared I peaked too soon and this mornings flurry of activity seems to have rendered me a bit useless. I faff about, get ready and luckily Woody is happy just to play with his toys, and just be charming and chatty and lovely.  He also spends a fair amount of time eating or saying he is hungry.  This is annoying, but I am pretty sure, exactly what I was like as a child.  Grrr.

After lunch we head down to the swimming pool.  This is what Woody has been waiting for all day.  We swim for about 1.5 hours!  Woody loves it.  We practice some of the things he's been learning at swimming and I am very pleased with myself when I give each of his exercises the name of a superhero and suddenly he gets it.  He pushes and glides beautifully if I tell him to be superman.  He does almost perfect arms when I tell him to be batman.  Excellent.  And then we practice his breathing and he makes brilliant brilliant progress and I am super proud of my fella.  the only awkward bit is there are a lot of elderly people in the pool with trainers doing exercises.  Woody wants them to notice him.  They seem to be enjoying watching Woody practice and keep commenting how well he is doing.  And with every comment Woody has to swim over to them and watch them exercise under the water.  He keeps swimming across people's legs and I find myself flinging myself about the pool trying to stop him.  It is funny though!

At home, I make pizza dough and Woody plays making pizza out of play dough.  he makes several meatball and cheese pizzas and is super pleased with himself.

Woody is shattered so he watches a movie and I finish off the pizzas.  The pizza is completely delicious and I spend fair amount of time fishing for compliments and patting myself on the back.

Noah works late into the night and I spend the evening struggling to concentrate on what I have to do. So I watch New Girl and properly laugh my head off. I still fail to to constructive, but I have a proper laugh.

I go to bed about 11 which is an very early night.  The intention is to get up early in the morning!  Ha!  as if, but I am such an optimist at heart!

Sleep well. xxx
