Right, we were really going to be organised today and we very almost were.

The fellas get up first but I am not far behind. The boys eat cereal and I make myself some porridge and Woody eats it.  We get ready to go and I feel like I am rushing and moving really fast but in reality I am just faffing and getting nowhere fast.  I make us late and no one is more annoyed than me.

We spend ages dropping Woody at preschool as I get chatting to a lovely mum, and then to Woody's teacher, all in all we are there for ages.  It was meant to be the day to get crackalackin early but today we are the two slowest people on earth.  And when I say 'we’ I mean ‘me’, I am definitely holding Noah back today.

We pop in at the coffee shop and grab some lattes to take away.  Only problem, I got a small size (what?) when what I really fancied was a coffee the size of my head.

At home Noah and I have a bit o a chat about a plan of attack.  We know what we have to do with the business but at some point I became heavily involved with the preschool  fundraising  We are doing lots of baking kits and craft kits so I have stuff to buy, recipes to trial, samples to make, order forms to make, labels to make etc etc.  So, we work out when we are going to fit this in and life suddenly feels slightly more in hand.

Then I get on and write the website copy.  I have done this before, but we have slightly changed the nature of what we are doing, so it all has to be tweaked but lots of it has to be completely rewritten.  I manage to get through two thirds of before I hit a bit of a wall.

So I have another stab at writing my next article for the magazine.  This is not the day for having clear thoughts and writing well.  Blah.

I make us some lunch and then I see the state of the kitchen.  There are various dirty saucepans all over the place including the crockpot from 2 days ago.  All class.  And the landlord is coming to see if he can fix the hob.  Which is good, in theory, but in reality, yikes!  So we razz around and try to pretend that we are less feral than we actually are.  We spruce up the place and Noah heads off to get the Woody and I wait for the landlord.

The fellas play a preschool for quite a while; apparently Woody does not want to leave.  He just wants Woody to join in and play with his friends.  So Noah joins in...

On the way home the fellas take a detour to Broadwater Park and Woody and Noah played Lion King on the climbing frame and slide and pretended to rescue each other.

At home the landlord looks at the hub, sees the state of the cupboard under the hob (which I forgot to tidy) and kind of talks to himself a bit whilst he is working.  He cannot fix it, so he will need to get someone else around.  Sigh, that means we are going to have to clean again.

The fellas come home and I rustle up a super dooper dinner of spinach and walnut pesto pasta.  It takes about 2 seconds to make and tastes like restaurant food.  Delicious.  We add chicken to Woody’s, obviously....  Dinner is a roaring success.  Tick.

I chat to Justin and we make plans to meet up tomorrow, Woody has bath, Noah does some work, and then Noah reads to Woody I head to Kmart.  Can you believe the glamour?

I buy 18 x 1.1L of those jars with the nice lids for our preschool fundraiser.  I also buy a jar for a test run of bath salts and of play doh.

After this I buy Woody some new PJ’s and a dressing gown.  He has wanted a dressing gown for so long; I am very, very excited about buying him one.

Then I swing buy the snacks and grab 2 packets of custard creams (which makes me miss my NCT group!), a packet of imitation berry Jaffa cakes, and I behemoth bag of crisps.

Job done.  I have a sneaky imitation Jaffa cake (or two) in the car.  They taste like slightly strawberry flavoured air.

At home Woody is asleep.  We eat crisps and make very light work of the light as air Jaffa cakes.  I finish of the website copy.  It takes an age.  It should not take that long but I am watching a crime show which is so engaging I keep forgetting what I am writing.

Noah stays up and keeps working – he is trying to finish a print tonight and to do some work work.  I snooze.

Goodnight lovely people.  xxx
