At some point in the last few days our house has turned into a boys club.  I do not know exactly how or when this has happened.  All I know is that it has happened.

Noah, has become Dad the Lad, according to Woody.  Woody wants hang with Noah all the time and when I say I am taking him to playgroup this morning, Elwood cannot hide his disappointed.  This is annoying, but I try and be a grown up about it. The walkie-talkies have fuelled this gang of two.  Woody walks around with the walkie talkie all morning yelling 'dad, dad, dad, can you hear me, I am on the walkie talkie'.  he does this even when Noah is standing directly in front of him.  He is still getting to grips with the walkie talkie and sometimes forgets to press the talk button and just yells.  So annoying, and yet so like me.  Go figure...

We head to Sing and Groove and Woody is a legend.  he joins in and is happy and lovely with the other kids.  In the break, we go into the playroom and Woody plays the usual game of dinosaurs whilst I chat to some mums.

Next we go to the book reading session.  And it is another brilliant choice of book which all the children love. it is about bathtime, and all the kids listen intently to the entire story.  And then we read the story again and all the children have a role to play with bathing different toy animals.  It is a lovely little session.  And then there are a range of activities around the book; puzzles, painting, bubble making.  Again, the children love it all.

We pop home, and have something to eat and Woody has a quick play with Noah.

And then, we are off again.  We go to Woody's little literacy lesson down the street and I cannot believe how much he loves it.  I think this is his favorite thing out of everything we do.  He clearly just finds it so inspiring.  Today they 'read' early reader books and practice writing, word and letter recognition, and make an elephant mask.  We look into signing him up for the numeracy lesson later in the year.

Back at home, I eat and Woody plays on his own and then we look up information about Batman and think about a new Batman themed reward chart.  Then we do some building.  Woody knows that Noah is going to take a break and play at 4pm, so he also spends quite a bit of time asking if it is 4pm yet.

At 4pm, the fellas play and I head out to the preschool for a fundraising meeting. The meeting goes really well, and we develop a bit of a plan of action for the remainder of the year. We are having an open day/ fete type thing with stalls etc and I have going to sort a little stall. Excellent.

Back at home, the fellas watch Wallace and Gromit and eat.  They both must have been starving as they eat several meals worth of food between them.  I chat to Grandma Molly and make a batch of soup.

Woody goes to bed, Noah works, and I do some internet banking and some other things which felt important at the time, and now I can't for the life of me recall!  Ha!

Good night good friends.xxx

Just at the exact moment I am reading about Woody & his walkie talkies, Lucy brings me her "yorkie talkies" as she calls them! She is the same - forgets to press the button and just yells from the other end of the house xx
