Woody wakes in a terrific mood and even mine and Noah's reluctance to wake up and get out of bed does not dampen his spirits.

After a minute we leap into action, inhale some tea and Skype the 'awesomestow’ eves and have a brilliant catch up.  For old time’s, Josh fell asleep.  It felt like the old days.  It was also great to catch up on the goings on of Esme and Elliot.  So far, Sunday is a winner.

And then because we can, we decide to head to the beach.  We head out the door with next to no fuss, admittedly Woody is still in his Pj’s but we are on our way.

The Mothership rustles up some caffeine and Noah and I play ball and run around with Woody.  It is a gorgeous morning and we are all delighted to be on the beach.  We notices quite a large group of lads forming on the boardwalk, rather embarrassingly, they are all wearing the same outfit.  On closer inspection they are in fact the Gold Coast Suns AFL team.  And they pretty much train in front of us.  Woody has a little go at copying the exercises but loses interest pretty quickly.

We head back home and manage to get stuck in triathlon traffic.  Grrrrrrr.  So we are running late to meet Helen.

Back at home we have the quickest get ready ever with a small chocolate bribe to keep energy levels up.   We are back in the car and on our way to Manly in no time.  And a bit of quite time and Woody is asleep.  I love it when a plan comes together.

We arrive at Helens an hour later than originally planned, and absolutely delighted to be there.  Mum has not seen Helen in about 6 years so there is much shrieking.  We love walking into Helen’s and taking it that gorgeous view and by the looks of things we all seem to make ourselves at home.

We eat and eat and eat. Helen cooked so much food it was unbelievable and it was all amazing.  We all made the mistake of going in too strong, too early on the garlic bread and we are ultimately beaten by the gargantuan meal.  We have a great time eating, drinking and reminiscing and Woody is an absolute delight.  He is happy to see his magpie friends pay a visit and he watches movies, snacks and plays.  Just the loveliest way to spend an afternoon.  We make plans for another and then head off into the sunset.

When we get home, woody wakes and asks if he can have his stories tonight. I reply, ‘yes, of course’ and he says that he does not want them.  Umm, okay.  So he goes straight to sleep.

Mum, Noah and I then do the crazy 30 day shred DVD.  Yep – that’s right – Noah is getting in on the crazy exercises.  So, now all 3 of us have lost the ability to walk like normal people.  I cannot walk without making a strange groaning noise.  I can sit and I can stand, but the transition phase is fairly unpleasant.

We watch some TV, blog, discuss our aches and pains, and watch a 60 minute makeover team pretty much destroy a home.  I play a game where I pretend I own the house and I have to decide which one of the presenters/ DIY-ers I would punch first.  It’s quite hard – there are quite a few to choose from.

Despite doing an exercise DVD, or maybe because of it, I am starving hungry.  I monster a stack of brownies and Noah gets stuck into toast – probably not the best post-exercise snack but keeps us going.

Good night lovely people.xxx
