First up, Noah gets a trillion points for getting up with Woody and bringing me a tea in bed. They spent the morning making Lego pirate ships.

I get up and have brekkie and Elwood suggests we have a meeting to decide what we do today.  That's my boy....

The fellas want to go to the beach and I want to do some craft projects with Woody – so we are all happy with our plan.  It is a bit hot to go to the beach so Woody and I get on with some playing and some making whilst Noah works on his application.

Woody and I play pirates; I surprise myself by getting ahead and making something for dinner.  We make some 'lion poachers’ so Woody can use these in his Lion and the Mouse games.  Except, I cannot find ‘lion poachers’ to use on the internet (must not be a massive need for them in the world of toilet roll puppets...).  So we have to use a couple of pilgrims, and we just cut off the roast turkeys they are carrying and ta-dah! – we have lion poachers.

We also make a rabbit as an Easter gift, and we get halfway through making an Easter basket.

It feels like we achieved more than this – but apparently not.  Around this, we also played pirates, ate lunch and Woody smacked his head on a cupboard door so we had ice packs and tears for a while too.

We all want to get to the beach so we head out.  The sun must have been out today as there are plenty of sunburnt people about but is not the scorching afternoon we have become accustomed to.  But we have an absolute blast.  The fellas build a three seater boat so we go on lots of imaginary adventures, we play what’s the time mr wolf/ gruffalo, and look for treasure.  When we have had enough of that we just chase each other, trip each other over and shout ‘pile on!’  It is terrific fun.

At home the fellas wash up and I sort dinner.  We eat and tell stories and make plans for tomorrow - it is just lovely.

Woody is asleep in a heartbeat.  Noah cracks on with his application.  I blog and then will tidy up and prepare some bits for tomorrow.

An exciting thing happened last night.  We saw the article I wrote for Coast Kids Gold Coast magazine online.  We have not got our hands on a copy of the mag yet, but seeing it online was still exciting.  I have attached a copy of the story and interview in the pics, but here is a link to the website to see the full mag   http://coastkidsgc.com.au/component/content/article/34

So, that’s us for today.  Good Friday, indeed. xxx
