Firstly, today is our 6th wedding anniversary. April Fool's Day holds a very special day in our hearts.

Thank you for everyone who remembered our special day.  You did a little better than us.  We were reminded by the Mothership who I believe was reminded by our niece Emma.

Over dinner tonight, we showed Woody our first dance video – Groove is in the Heart.  He loved it and was very impressed with us.

Although he did ask why he was not there, why he was not born yet, where he was before he was born, how he got into my stomach, and how he got out of my stomach.  Noah and I handled these questions with the bumbling ineptitude you would expect from us.  Excellent.

The fellas are up first this morning and seem to magically tidy the house.  Great starts to the day for me!  Woody and I then decorate some cupcakes as lions. It is our third attempt at creating the ultimate lion cupcake, and I think we have done it this time.

So, today we have free tickets to see The Pirates! at the cinema.  Woody is very very excited.  He dresses in a pirate t-shirt and we pack him a lunch in a pirate’s treasure chest.  Lunch includes pirate gold and a gingerbread pirate ship.  He is very proud.  He was going to take an eye patch too but forgot it, which is just as well as I am not sure how that would have gone with 3D glasses.  The movie was great and it was fun watching it in a cinema full of over excited little people.  Woody’s face was priceless and he clearly felt very special with his treasure chest and snacks and 3D glasses.

After the cinema we go on a hunt at Robina Town Centre looking for slippers, lion pyjamas, and some new shoes for woody.  We are successful on the shoes and lion pj’s – the hunt for the slippers is still on.  We don’t even know why he wants slippers.  We are not really slipper people and I don’t really see Australia as a slipper country.  Woody wanted giant monster feet slippers which were too small and his feet were a sweaty mess after wearing them for about 30 seconds.  He really wants some and may well get some for his birthday, against our better judgement.  Woody also surprises us by saying he wants a dressing gown.  Really?  We’ll see....

We head home and Woody dozes off until we pull up outside our house and he is suddenly wide awake.  Noah and I have some lunch and Woody watches some TV.  Noah and I try and get a grip on the week ahead and I highlight some things on a list.

Woody has a long play with all of his animals and then we play puzzles.  Woody then forages in the garden with his bug catcher and a magnifying glass.  Woody learnt an important lesson when he tried to teach an ant to swim.

We have some dinner, Woody gets to eat one of his lion cupcakes, and we read a stack of books and it is bedtime.

Noah is working and I attempt to catch up on the blog and work through all the highlighted things on the list.

This week has to be a great week.  We will make it so.

Good night and Happy April. x
