Noah and I wake up so tired, it is like we have not slept. Woody, on the other hand, wakes up full of beans.  It is a terrible reflection on Noah and I, but we encourage to Woody to watch as much TV as possible whilst Noah and I doze, and then we reluctantly takes turns to hang out with him in the lounge, so the other one can sleep.  We are not brilliant at mornings and we do not seem to be getting better.

I'd read about a playgroup down the street, so Woody and I headed down to that.  It was the first one of the year,  it was pouring and it was a public holiday yesterday, so -  it was pretty quiet.  I think there were only about 6 other kids and they were all around 2-ish.  But Woody took an instant shine to the two 'volunteer grannies’ and pretty much played with them the entire time.  They took great delight in setting up a massive train track for Woody and he played so carefully with it for ages.  They also gave him a couple of biscuits, so if he didn’t adore them before, he did now!

As we were leaving Elwood asked me to wait a minute, ran over to one of the ‘volunteer grannies’ and asked her if she would like to come back to our house.  She was delighted and said she would love to come to our house another time.  Woody was over the moon.

We will definitely go back to that lovely little group next week.  It was a lovely start to the day.

Back at home , the fellas have some lunch and then Noah gets on with work and Woody watches toy story and sneaks as much yoghurt as possible from the fridge without me noticing.  I sort through some paperwork and look through the information we have on the local schools (very exciting!).  We have a bit of a play and then Noah takes a break and takes Woody out for a bike ride.

Meanwhile, I have to send through some further info to an agency so I get that together, and then I spend a very long period of time on the phone to Telstra trying to resolve my Telstra Bill. They had charged me $299 in error and the previous person I spoke to was not authorised to correct this.  Not cool.  Today I spoke to someone who knew exactly what the mistake was, said she would fix it, but was not 100% sure how.  After being on hold for a long time for many times, it was resolved.  Very good.  I also got loads of jobs done around the place whilst on hold.  Even better.

When the fellas get back Woody and I make cupcakes.  He is getting very confident in the kitchen, and tells me that he is great at cooking.  I must say, I have to agree.  He works up an appetite and has some toast whilst dinner is cooking – just to tide him over.

Noah has not heard anything about his interview, so we are thinking it is probably not going to be great news.  Noah gives the bloke a call, and it turns out Noah has a 2-day trial next week.  High five husband!  Not sure what days yet, but the second half of the week.  Which means someone else is being trialled in the early part of the week.  So, Noah does not have it in the bag just yet.  We are keeping our fingers crossed that next week goes well .

Elwood hoovers up his dinner – I put sausages in the pasta today and it was a massive hit.  We read the ‘Tiger who came to tea’ a trillion times and Noah even sings it whilst playing the ukulele.  Special.  Woody proudly samples his baking, and then we get that boy in the bath he is a state.

After  bit of a kerfuffle, I get Woody off to sleep and spend hours nattering on the phone to Leonie whilst quaffing wine.  Very good.  I spot cockroach and spray it and wait for it to die.  I mention this to Noah and he comes to survey the situation.  He then comes over all Rambo, and sprays everything in sight with cockroach spray, all over hob and kitchen surfaces.  Once he has done this, he reads the label, and it says not to spray near food preparation areas and naked flames.  He has sprayed all  over both of these areas so then spends a good deal of time trying to wash it away so we do not ingest poison and so the hob does not explode when we use it.  Time well spent, I have to say.

Noah is working and I am snacking and typing.  My to do list has a good half a dozen things not crossed off on it for today, so tomorrow I intend to be a big winner and power through loads.

Good night from fabulous Australia.xxx
