Woody sleeps a little later today, 6.30ish, and I sleep even later. Brilliant.

I razz around and get ready for accountants appointment.  It's raining today so Noah and I reluctantly bypass our 'beach ready’ uniform and wear jeans.  Neither of us are very happy about this.  The weather forecast is for 5 days of rain (and there are some more extreme weather forecasts kicking about that we hope do not come into fruition).

So, I sit in a room with a man who loves numbers and learn about the best way for us to work, freelance and set up a business.  The numbers man explains things to me using some stick people diagrams.  This makes me happy.  And I get it.  This is a good start.

The fellas go for a walk in the rain at Woody’s request.  Woody chose to dress as Buzz Light-year (head to toe white lycra) for this rainy walk.   What can I say, the kid has style...(?!)

Back at home, Noah and I discuss what the numbers man had to say and have some lunch.

And then, we run out of batteries.  Just like that, the collective energy of the house goes on a big, old slump. Only a gigantic packet of salt n vinegar samboys chips can save the day.  We inhale them and fight over the crumbs, and then all feel a bit better.

Noah cracks on with work and I play Fireman Sam with Woody.  We then mix it up a bit by adding in some Thomas characters and some Bob the Builder characters.  Crazy times.  We then play Lego for a bit but all I want to do is go to sleep.  So I try and get Woody to sleep.  I am desperate, I offer him $20 if he goes to sleep (very excellent parenting...), but he has no concept of money so he is not interested.  Damn.    I eat a stack of muesli bars and sit tight and wait for the sugar to kick in.

Noah finishes his work, the rain clears and we decide what we all need is some fresh air.  So, we head down to the waterfront for woody to have a climb, bike ride and a play on the swings.  We so, so love that all that is literally just down the street.  Walking alongside the water is the magic – I hope we do not tire of it.  Woody is loving being on his bike and is chatty and funny and just brilliant.  He says to us ‘I love you two.  You are pretty.’  3 years olds rock.  Woody keeps riding up to me and giving me a kiss.  And then he thinks it is hilarious to pretend he is going to kiss me and ride straight past.  He cracks himself up with this antic.  Regardless, the walk does the trick and we all return with clear heads and happy spirits.

Back at home, Noah does a bit of work he’d forgotten about (whoops!) and Woody has some dinner and watches some Pingu and goes to bed.

Noah and I chat, blog, look at photos and watch Blade of Glory.  We are drinking Malibu and Coke Zero because that is how we roll, apparently.

Cheers!  x
