Another day, another buffet breakfast. The breakfast tastes even better because we are in Nashville.

Noah chatted to a truck driver at breakfast and took the opportunity to ask a few questions about the highway code.  Better late than never...

Straight after brekkie we hit the pool with Woody.  He was over the moon and delighted us with his swimming and general playful shenanigans.

Back at the room, I did a little bit of hotel bookings and woody watched some tv and then we all headed out to the burbs to Zackies hot dog joint for lunch.  Elwood was a happy boy indeed.

We then headed into Nashville, without any sort of plan of what we would do.  We were then very pleasantly surprised to find ourselves in a bar listening to live music.  Elwood seemed to really enjoy it and Noah and I loved it.

On a roll, we decided to bribe Elwood with chocolate ice cream and we went to another bar and saw some more music.  Brilliant!

As we were walking down the street – Elwood popped into a 3rd bar – completely of his own accord – and started toe tapping to another band.

Now for those without kids, this may seem terribly run of the mill.  But, those with kids will know that spontaneous live music is a rarity.  We loved it and plan to try our luck again tomorrow – with the good old ice cream bribe up our sleeve.

Noah popped into the Hatch Show Print Shop.  He showed incredible restraint by not staying in there for hours – which would be easily possible.  Perhaps he was put off by the cat following him around the shop scratching and hissing at him.

Elwood was absolutely charming in Nashville and his jaunty hat won many admiring glances and comments.  Noah and I were every bit the proud parents.

Then we headed home via a supermarket and Noah taking another 3 zillion photos of signs.

Back at holiday HQ we had some dinner, gate crashed a couples amorous swim with a bomb diving Woody, and then put the enthusiastic 3 year old to bed.

Noah and I are now kicking back , eat beer nuts (the Bar Mix blend – I can highly recommend it) and having a slurp – our first holiday drink.  Life is good today.
