I finally got off the bus yesterday night, 6pm, after 30 (yes 30) hours travelling from Toronto. And the good news I'm now in the dead centre of Canada, so I've still got over a thousand miles between me and Vancouver!
Anyway, some things I've been meaning to update you all on:
My universal sink plug has proved itself incredibly useful as nowhere seems to have plugs, worth every penny of the $1.99 I paid for it.
The stuff I use for shaving is called shaving oil and comes in a 15 Ml bottle, it saves tons of space and works quite well, but I think I'm shaving the top 10 layers of skin off everytime I shave!
For those trying to stay up-to-date with the flannel saga, I have news - I've stopped the problem with the fluff, but it still turns the water blue. Should stop eventually (like when it turns white as there's no dye left in it).
Travel tip #63 - Always put your toothbrush in your toiletries bag with the head at the opposite end to that of your hair brush, otherwise you end up with hairs in between all the bristels (as I found yesterday evening).
I had only planned to stay in Winnipeg until this evening, but like the city and the hostel that much I'm staying an extra day (I live so dangerously) so I can see a bit of it, I'm especially looking forward to the Royal Mint.
And some news, that might have upset if I wasn't having so much fun, is that Ian won a years supply of washing up tablets (a year for him, two months for normal people). I have to say it bothers me slightly, I was looking forward to him having to spend money on all those things that A - I bought for him when I was home, and B - he hates buying as they're functional rather than gratifying.
Anyway, that's all I can think of for now. Take it easy.
