Stop by Klenske, Ink.
After a very long day of traveling, we are home. Going home is never fun. I think we got a bit use to the European way of life, and being back here in Dubuque, Iowa, where everything is a dull brown and big, makes us wish we were still there. But, Spring is on its way, and from there Summer, the best times to be in the Midwest. Before we know it, we will be out of school, and into the working world (of course, we'll slip another trip in there somewhere!)
We began the day at 5am, heading to the Paris train station to catch a train to Brussels, Belgium. It was an enjoyable ride, being able to see the French countryside and the city of Brussels. The airport was packed and it took our full two and a half hour lay over to get through the lines and four levels of security, leaving no time for Belgian beer or chocolate. The flight home was uneventful and long. Thank god for iPods! I slept a bit, but it was more like a slow-motion head banging contest. I would fall asleep, my head would slam forward, I would wake up, whipping my head back up, only to fall back asleep and begin the whole process over again.
Well, I guess it's back to the grind. Time to dust off those textbooks (and pretend to read them), go to class, do a little work, and start dreaming about where to go next. Thanks again to Chris and Tina for showing us Paris and to everyone else for travelling with us.
Cheers and Sante-
