As a day-trip from Split we caught a ferry to the island and town of Hvar.  Being the off-season, there wasn't much happening in town besides a mid-sized cruise ship coming in to deposit an army of umbrella-following and badly dressed tourists.  So we spent the day people watching at a café, walking along the coast, exploring the narrow lanes of the town and eating, well, more Italian food while making fun of the tourist skipping out on half the town in order to get back to the boat and get a good spot in line for dinner.
