When I was in Phuket, I was harassed every few steps: "massage??", "Brother, come buy a suit" and the most common "TAXI TAXI". I thought it would be different in Bangkok, and it is; it's just more hidden here. When my bus arrived at 4am this morning I was barraged by taxis.. "thats fine, I need a taxi anyway" I thought. So I told the guy to take me to the cheapest hotel -- he brings me to washington suites -- the cheapest room is 1200 baht. Whatever, only one night so I pay it and then in the morning (well... 1 in the afternoon really) I get up and begin to wander around town (sightseeing and food-finding). I'm stopped in my tracks seconds after leaving the hotel by a tuk-tuk driver telling me that he'll give me a city tour for 30 baht. I said no thanks, as I have now been conditioned to say on reflex but he kept pushing. Told me I'd get a 20 baht student fare, and I figured why not. First stop was his friends suit shop. He told me to go in and have a look and then he would start the tour. When I came out after a quick conversation with the guy in the shop, he asked me where I wanted to go. I told him I had no idea and he ended dropping me off at a mall when I refused to go to get a massage (which was his only idea of where to go). Gotta love it XD

Great donuts here though
