No, we didn't exercise this morning. We got up at 7:00, showered and went to breakfast. It was like Grand Central Station. We finally found a table to eat our breakfast. We had to be out of our room by 9:30, but we vacated it earlier than that so we could find a seat in the lounge to wait for our deck to be called for self debarkation. Those of use who self-debarked kept our luggage with us, so we were allowed off first. Our deck was the last to be called about 10:45. We had barely got to the gangway when they called the first 4 zones of regular debarkation. It didn't take long to go through customs. We had bought nothing, so we had nothing to declare. We had to use a certain cab company with our voucher, and, cof course, they were they only cb company NOT at the taxi stand. We called and we had to wait about 25 minutes. We were just about ready to pay for one ourselves when it should up. The cab driver was nice and played gospel music. He took us back to the Admiral Fell Inn and we had to wait a few minutes for the van to be brought around. We stopped at a Wendy's right before we got on the 95 and I think the employees there were former employees of the cruise line because the French fries weren't hot. They forgot to put bacon on Keith's burger, which he didn't realize until he had eaten 1/2 of it, and 2 other customers went up to get something fixed. i should have refused the french fries right off the start, as the cashier put them on the tray a good 5 minutes before the hamburgers showed up. We didn't eat very many of them, which was probably a good thing. It snowed a little on the way home and the driveway was sort of clear. We had only gotten an additional 2-3 inches of snow while we were gone.

One of the questions on the comment card was "Would you cruise with Carnival again.?" Keith chose "Yes" and on mine, I created a choice that said "maybe." If the price was right and the itinerary was one I liked, I would probably go again. The food wasn't hot all the time, but it wasn't inedible. Some of it was positively terrific, others not so much. None of it was bad. The activities weren't all that great, but we spent our time reading, which is something I usually only get to do at night. I didn't have to cook, clean or make a bed for a week. That alone was worth it.

Since writing this, I would amend my choice to be a "No." Overall, the tacky decor, the mindless activities and inconsistent food would make me hesitate. I am not a party animal, and it just wasn't my cup of tea.

Assuming that you could choose any cruise line for a particular journey, which would you select? I assume by your comments, Carnival wouldn't be high on the list.

Any? Crystal, no contest. Superior food, service, activities. Superior price, too, but you don't get cheated. They do little things that add up to a lot.
