And it just keeps getting better.

The highlights:

- Woke up and enjoyed a nice 7km run this am with a view of the sunrise over the Tuscan hillside.
- Made friends with the little shit dog who has been giving me trouble since the moment I arrived.  (He's actually really cute and surprisingly he kept up for a good 2km with me on my run!)
- Learned how to make a frittata (with roasted red pepper, cheese and a buttery crust!)
- Hiked the Italian back country from Pienza to Montichello (10 glorious uphill kilometers)
- Drank wine, ate pasta for lunch.  Drank more wine.
- Took a nap in the bus on the way back to Cortona
- Dragged a tipsy Ulka along for another light jog, this time a drunk 'n' run, before dinner.
- Got dressed in my best (saved a special fancy dress for tonight's dinner) and drank prosecco while getting all dolled up.
- Showered, of course :)
- Attempted Italian karaoke (and failed miserably).
- Drank again (this would be my third time being drunk in a 24 hour period)
- Danced.
- Danced.
- Danced.

Our last night in Cortona was a very special one.  This morning we bid adieu to our tour group and jumped the train for Rome.  Made it to our very glorious hotel (roof top patio with an amazing view of the Vatican!!) and enjoyed another spectacular meal.  You would think by now I would be tired of this outrageous wine and non stop food.  Surprisingly this is not the case.

Three more sleeps in Roma - visiting the coliseum tomorrow and the Vatican on Tuesday before the long flight home.  It feels nice to be in the city after a week of small town Italy and traveling on our own again.

Buonasera and Happy Thanksigiving weekend!  We didn't have a traditional Thanksgiving weekend here in Italy, but that's ok because I think the meals have been like Thanksgiving every day!
