Fabulous Florence!
After a nice trip to Pisa, we started to Florence (on 6th July). We rented a car for next 4 days in Italy. We will return to Pisa on 9th July and fly to Paris.
One of the best aspects about Italy is its food. We savored tasty Italian food in a restaurant near our apartment. After this tasty dinner, we spent our time enjoying FIFA world cup match in an Irish Pub. There was a huge crowd of university students from Holland. The match was thrilling and Holland won against Uruguay to enter finals of the championship. The crowd turned mad and celebration party became intense.
I think I have become a fan Holland football team. Final match is on 10th July and I will be Paris and looking forward to watch that match in Orange! Hup Holland Hup!
Florence (Firenze) is one of the most written about cities in Italy and it leaves a very special effect on every visitor. In my opinion, it is a charismatic city you would be sorry to miss. It is an amazing city with fine balance of history and contemporary with astonishing buildings and statues. We visited the Basilica di Sant Maria del Fiore, the Palazzo Vecchio and Ponte Vecchio. Ponte Vecchio is a bridge with jewellery shops built on river Arno.
We started to Rome after a quick lunch. Italy’s countryside is beautiful with plantations, small villages/towns and cathedrals.
