Woke up excited ......... we were going to swim with the pink dolphins - one of my favourite creatures.  It's the first time that I've ever seen or heard of pink dolphins....and they literally are pink mixed with a bit of grey. Very pretty. After a short canoe trip we were taken to a serene and pretty part of the river. Together with the guide we waded into the river and took turns luring the dolphins with loads of sardines that the guide gave us and within a few minutes we were surrounded by a school of dolphins. We then swam with them, fed them, touched them, teased them and played with them. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip. A thoroughly enjoyable and unforgettable experience.

Totally satisfied we returned to the hotel and as we approached the hotel our return coincided with another Amazonian welcome. Sanjay and Dipak received another dose of a scantily clad Amazonian beauty flaunting herself at them. And of course they loved it. Thereafter you know exactly what we did ....... Caipirinhas once more!!!! The Amazonian beauty joined us at the open bar and danced in her regalia, gyrating ever so lithely and gracefully. She offered to teach Bhash and I the moves. Being the party animals, we obviously joined in and didn't perform too badly according to her. Check out the video.
As for lunch we were all sick of the awful buffet food which we soon realised that it was being re-cycled between lunch and dinner.

We spent the last few moments taking pics at the Ariau Towers and then said our final adios to a wonderful and memorable Amazon experience. Boarded the boat and caught a nap in the hammocks. Just before arriving in Manaus we had chilled fresh coconut water for the last time. Transferred to the airport but had an 8 hour wait before our next flight. We headed straight for the shopping mall........our first real retail therapy for the trip...... can you believe????......I've really surprised myself on this one. But don't you worry Bhash and I made up for the lack of it. The first shop we set eyes on was filled to the brim with the most beautiful shoes, shoes, shoes and more shoes. We had great fun with me requesting in Spanish to the Portuguese shop assistants for the right shoe size, colour and style.
Bhash and I ended up buying a few pairs (note I'm being modest here!!!!) We decided to sample the local mall restaurant. It was a real challenge communicating in Spanish to a Portuguese waiter in a land where meat and fish rule that I'm vegetarian. Sanjay and Bhash looked at me in anticipation when our food arrived hoping that I had ordered the correct meals and to my delight it was perfect. What more can I say, except "Mi espanol no es desmasiado malo!!!!!

And then it was back to the airport for the 4 hour flight to Sao Paulo.
