It’s my last day in Rio and I realized that I hadn’t eaten at any Churrascaria restaurants. If I returned home without going to one of these restaurants, I could easily imagine fielding questions from Noli like, “No way, why didn’t you eat any Churrasca-sca-sca. Why?”
I went to Carretão in Copacabana, a high-class Brazilian chain that received a favorable review in Lonely Planet. When my waiter came over, I immediately ordered a Caparinha. He gave me a wink, the thumbs up sign and says in English “Good choice.” I knew it was going to be a good lunch.
The meal was great. The salad bar and sushi looked very good. Unlike something Noli would do, I took only a small amount of salad. The main course is, obviously, meat … and it was fantastic. The meats contained far less salt than similar meats from New York Churrascarias. The blackened char on the meats was awesome. I had tons and tons of Prime rib and other cuts of steak.
Midway through my meal, a hoard of young fashion-model looking girls, all in pink tank tops, showed up. They took up almost half of the tables in the restaurant. Like locusts, they devoured the salad bar. Like a Bermuda triangle for meat, the girls at the tables took all the meat from the skewers such that no waiter survived the tables with any meat left. I guess this how models really behave before joining PETA.

the models eat meat becuase it's low in carbo => fat!!!
this is done in especially hot climates. In NY if you eat meat, you get very big!
