Oh yeah, forgot to mention, I got the job at Amic. So, I'm now employed as an English teacher.

Hooray!

We took the trains thru Osaka and made it to my aunt and uncle's house. I introduced Ashleigh to everyone and was really stoked to see Taiki.

We took some pictures.

Ah-chan took us to the local temple to see what it looked like, since she'd never been there, and it's really quite pretty. They'd done some work making a new building that had opened that month, so we took a trip to go see it.

It was like most temples, but this garden was huge and beautifully sculpted into the mountain side.

We then went grocery shopping and picked up some essentials for dinner.

Ashleigh and I crashed since we didn't sleep all that well on the boat, and then went swing dancing in Osaka.

It was cool to finally be able to go dancing with Ashleigh. It'd been roughly 3 months since we'd danced together (we danced a little in Tokyo Disneyland) and got to meet the local Osaka dancing scene. They definitely have more dancers than Santa Barbara. It made me kind of sad that the scene in SB is dying. The few regular dancers in SB had worked so hard to try and make the scene bigger, but it's significantly decreased.

We've been thinking of teaching dancing in Matsuyama, but haven't really gotten to explore the possibilities.. Maybe later.

There were two people that we met while at the dance, Eric and Misore (I think?) who lived near my aunt and uncle. They were awesome and gave us a ride back to Ikeda, which is the nearest trainstation to my family's house. From there we caught a cab.
