Where I stayed
Manta Ray Resort
The food was delicious - a vegetable soup to start, followed by roasted vegetables on a flatbreak with basil dressing, followed by a choice of about 4 options - i went for fresh fish of the day with mash potato and fressh vegetables which were lovely. After dinner we had a fijian dance show - 5 fijians wearing the grass around their ankles and doing traditional dances which was really good.
Also had brilliant news - my (amazing) parents managed to change my flights to get home sooner rather then spending 10 more days in Melbourne, so that really made my evening.
The next day was my birthday and I was hoping to swim with Manta Rays but none showed up which was disappointing. The resort did have internet though so i managed to access LOADS of birthday messages and emails which was so nice - and made me feel as little less far from home! Then had a lovely day sunbathing (on a lovely beach!) and chatting with a few girls i met before catching the Yasawa Flyer onto the next island in the afternoon - a shame, as i could have stayed there longer!
