The reason for heading to the shopping malls was because they would be in air conditioned buildings and cleaner.
We have not liked how dirty, smelly, noisy and busy Bangkok is.
I was very ill today with sickness, diarrhoea and muscle aches all over and was so hungry but could not eat, I think it was the food poisoning we'd both had but we was also paranoid about malaria.
We found a market to do a little chrimbo shopping but felt so so ill I couldn’t do much without having to find a spot to rest or find a toilet, and randomly would see a food stall which would trigger my sickness all the food stalls seem so unhygienic.
We were looking forward to getting out of Bangkok.
The next day we checked out the hostel about midday got a tuk tuk to Koh san road a well known place in Bangkok where we did a little shopping and laughed at all the stupid English student types getting their hair put in dreads to look like homeless people.
Walking up and down the road and doing a little shopping was good fun but still felt rough.
We later got a taxi to the airport and flew back to England such a long flight of course out of the 13 hour journey I maybe slept 1.
As we came into land we noticed lots of snow it was -8⁰c. Colin & Simon were waiting for us at arrivals and we headed home It was so good to get a warm welcome and see people we knew.
Turns out not long after we landed planes were canceled and the snow was causing Chaos for Heathrow so got home just in time.
