Checked out of the hostel and moaned to the owner about being kept up at night by someone in the 'managers room' next to our room at 1:30am on the phone swearing and cursing so loudly, I shouted ‘shut up’ but no luck so banged on the wall then they shouted ‘f**k off get another room’, so another bad night’s sleep.

Got up and caught the bus that was on time and had a great driver.

Got to Punakaiki and got to the hostel we had looked up and it’s a really nice tidy & clean only £13 a night and it’s right on the beach with great view from the building you can see the sea easy from the bed, an apparently sometimes you can see dolphins swim past.
