Where I stayed
mantaray island resort
After only being awake 15minutes at 7:30 heard the noise of banging drums and a man shouting 'Manta Ray Trip'.
We wanted to go see the manta ray too. It was at 7:30am because that’s when the tide changed it was a great way to wake up we was shipped out on a boat to a channel where all 8 of us got flippered, goggled & snorkelled up and jumped off the boat into the sea where we swam with about 7 massive Mata Rays they were the size of picnic tables and would barrel roll like ghosts under us we was so close to the giants was an amazing experience and was told it’s rare there’s as many ray.
Then we all got back on the boat and rushed back to the island for breakfast.
I went on a long walk/adventure up the island Louise sunbathed & we watched people make jewellery from cocoanut. Then we both went snorkelling and fed the fish some bread I saved from last night’s dinner.
This island is very laid back & it’s so easy to relax & chat to people here most being fellow travellers.
After dinner we went down to the beach with a couple from Canada on their honeymoon and sat and drank some really nice Canadian whiskey they had bought with them, chatted for hours.
