Spent day in south of park, drove in and headed toward Yellowstone lake stopping off at various geysers and spots with wildlife in, see an osprey flying over the river by after running back to pick up for camera missed the opportunity to get a good photo, got to the lake and found a nice little spot alongside the lake to eat the bagels with cream cheese that we stole from the breakfast buffet. We needed the 4x4 to get where we parked off the road was funny when later a car tried pulling up thinking we was looking at some wildlife by he scraped all his exhaust trying to pull over nearly got stuck and drove off in embarrassment, was defiantly a good choice in getting the 4x4, we also see an osprey and got some half decent photos.

We then pulled over at a little harbour on the lake. Then drove on got out for a walk along a fast flowing river (called pelican river) and watched a pelican fishing for half hour, then it was getting late so headed home it was amazing in the park at dusk so much wildlife comes out as it cools down and you can really see all the steam from all the random geysers all over the par. It was a real magical place in the evening, would love to camp in the park next time we come
