Finally I am updating here. I am grateful for your patience. Well I have quite a bit to update since leaving Sedalia.  It was another beautiful hike into Clifton City. No water there, but met some great folks. I ended up staying until Monday as it rained most of the day on Sunday. There is a church next to the trail that I was able to attend with many nice folks from the area. By the time I rolled out of what I at first thought to be a less supportive trail head, many wonderful people had touched my life and shown great compassion and support. I can say if you are a junk/treasure hunter, there be gold in Clifton City. Make sure to meet Al when there.
Next up was Pilot Grove, named for the grove of trees used to "pilot" wagons across the prairie. The city park was available for camping and very comfortable. I had my first cold weather and stayed warm through the night despite the frozen tent fly. Yea! I felt refreashed and ready to "bust a move" towards Interfuse at OA so I planned a long hike day the next day so I would be close enough the next day to make it. Not a good plan. I pulled a big blister on the left foot. Of course things still worked out as they should. My dear friend Kamakaze Kelly came to the rescue and picked me up for the last 12 miles to the festival. I was able to rest and heal my foot for several days and let the body recover. Today the pack actually felt a bit lighter.
The Interfuse is a regional "Burn" presented by the Midwest Burners. It is a wonderful gathering of open and loving people. I made many new friends, and was blessed with several re-connections of friends made at other festivals. I am still glowing from the experience. A dear couple I met at Dreamtime last year, Astar and Grant have brought me to their friends house in Columbia. It is at their computer that I update now. It is becoming apparent that this community is just full of beautiful freaky people and "all the freaky people make the music of the world". I will not be showing a bunch of pics from the burn, no sneak peeks from me, but I can recommend that you buy the ticket and see the show. There are several regional burns around the country and they should be experienced at some time by all, in my opinion.
Well I still haven't figured out the photo aspect of this but I will. I know I will, just not when. Until then I plan on heading back to the Katy trail tomorrow. I have selected a very good section for viewing wildlife and hope that the guidebook continues it's good advice streak. I leave you once again with my blessings and assurances of further updates. Peace and Harmony.
