      This all started over a cup of espresso in a cafe in Klagenfurt, Austria. It was about a year ago just now, and I was leaving to come back to the states a few days later, when my cousin Walti called to say he needed to talk to me about something very important before I left, so the plan for coffee at the cafe was hatched with all due sanctity.
      The important subject was his desire to hike "Jakobsweg". He explained to me the importance of this to him and others as a pilgramage, but to be honest, I was hooked and on to my own imaginings at "it would be from Klagenfurt to near the coast of Spain". So I excitedly agreeded and assured him I would go and biz jetz (til now) I am still going. As I am many moons past my last extended hiking trip and many pounds heavier, I hope to chip alot of rust and lose a kilo or two trveling to New York in search of cheap air fare to Europe.
      Jump-off day is 13April08. I will try to relate acurately all the "nows" shortly after their departure. Interesting people, places and stuff.
