Sooo, I'm very happy to tell you that I successfully passed my first day as a teacher in Singapore. The day was a lot of fun, let me tell you. I showed the kids the audio books I brought for them. I hope they’ll like them. After that we played a game and took care of a few little things before they had their swimming lesson. And don’t worry, I didn’t teach them... ;) Someone more competent took care of that and made sure they didn’t drown. After that the real fun began. Being the big fan of games that I am we naturally began the German lesson with a game. We played a sort of Bingo again. They had to listen to words and analyse it for morphemes. Then they had to check if they had that particular morpheme on their card. They really like it and it was a lot of fun. After that they worked independently on their grammar scripts. Later, after recess we started with Drama. We are going to be acting for the next 3 weeks. We’re going to be improvising, learning about actors, playing with words, acting, etc. Most of them already love it and I hope that I will manage to make this topic attractive to all of them. It’s such an important thing since they work on their expression in every way possible and they build up self- confidence. And of course last but not least: it’s FUN!!! J

Anyhow, I’m still at school now, writing this and listening to music. Feels good sitting at the teacher’s desk... ;) I must say I love it… But then again you can love more than one thing… Which is why even though it’s a lot of fun I do miss you, and I’m already looking forward to coming home.

After work Joel and I went to this round sort of building. It’s like a food court but in a circle. You can buy food and fruit juice. We had some fruit juice (Mango and Strawberry) and then went back to cook spaghetti. So good. J Now I’m sitting in bed, blogging and curious about how tomorrow’s going to turn out. I haven’t received a feedback about my lessons yet, so I’m a little tense. Not too much though, cause I think it turned out just fine. J We’ll see tomorrow….
