Amy Kralik. My McGill Cheer and Kinesiology buddy for 3 of my 4 years at school. She is in teachers college in a small town about an hour north of Brisbane. Of course I wasn't going to swing past without saying hello and heading out for a good old party. She met me at the bus stop beside her university and it was so great to see her. I saw her last at cheer Nationals in December but it felt like it had been much longer.

Thursday night is party night in university-ville so shortly after I arrived, I was on the goon. We painted our nails, I used her hair dryer AND straightener. It was nice to feel girly again. We got the "Dusk Bus" which is a bus that drives to the university residences to pick up party go-ers to "Dusk Bar". Quite a nice service I must admit. Dominic was our driver and he loved his job. He was probably about 70 years old and gets to chat it up with young ladies every weekend. He was a sweetheart. The night was fun and I even got to meet Hot Ben. A crush of Amy's who is very hot.

Friday we had a proper sleep in which felt great! No much going on that day as it was Erin's 30th birthday boat party that night. We started getting ready at about 4pm. I had to borrow a dress and such because my backpackers wardrobe doesn't consist of an formal type of wear. It was pouring down with rain so the plastic bags were brought out to protect the hard-earned hair do's. Very funny. Dominic picked us up again in his bus and drove us down to the boat. I had a little too much to drink so my memories of the night from here on in are a little hazy. I had a good time nonetheless.

Saturday was recovery day with sleeping in and naps galore. Amy's buddies from residence cooked up a great roasted vegetable dish that definately was much needed. It was nice to just hang with Amy and chill out. Greatly appreciated the use of her roommates bed for the weekend.

I caught the bus on Sunday afternoon and was sad to say goodbye to Ams!
