Where I stayed
I checked into the Mt. Warning Bed and Breakfast Retreat for 2 nigthts. I heard through the grapevine that the treak up Mt. Warning was rewarding and beautiful so I added it to my list of things to do! Although I would have loved some Breakfast in bed, I opted for the budget accommadation in the tent in the beautiful garden. I had a huge tent all to myself with a nice sized comfy matress inside. It was luxury for me!
I spent the afternoon relaxing in the peace and quiet of the retreat before heaving a great dinner and an early night. Partying in Byron really did a number on me!
I had an early morning to get to the base of Mt. Warning for my trek. It was a perfect day with not a cloud in the sky and a nice temperature for hiking. It was 8.8km return and an elevation of 1157m. The view from the top was so amazing. The tip is small enough that they have built a platform around the rim so you can get 360 degree views.
3 hours later, I was up and back to the retreat. I spent sometime getting things organized and also enjoying the peace and quiet of being out in the wilderness. A nice dinner and I was off to bed for another early nice!
