What a wonderful city! I love Melbourne so much! It was awesome! Where did I leave off.... Thursday: I went for a bike ride in the morning before heading off to Cheer Victoria for another practice. I had a great time watching the team but the itch for participating was getting to me! I want to cheer! After practice I headed back to Rosemary and Steve's place (the owners of the cheer gym) and we had some dinner and chatted before heading to bed. How wonderful they were to put me up for the night!

Friday: The next morning, Rosemary and I had a lazy morning and went out for a nice breakfast the Upper Fern Tree Gully. I hopped on the train back to the city and then was back out on the town. I took a walk down High Street which is a cute area near where I was staying. I poked around the shops and had a nice lunch before heading downtown. I went to take a look at the National Art Gallery where the had the best exhibition: Shoes. They were mostly sneakers but any art gallery that displays shoes is alright by me! After that I went up to the top of the Rialto Tower. It is a business tower that lets people head up top for a view of the city. Very nice. I watched the sunset there, wrote a couple of journal entries (I also do a paper journal) and had some food before heading back to Toorak.

Saturday: I got up fairly early and hopped on the bike for a tour of the city. I rode downtown to finally check out the Queen Victoria Market. It is a huge market with fruits, veggies, meat, cheese, clothes, tourist items, pretty much anything you need. I actually bought something! A much needed sarrong for beach days! It felt nice to finally buy something after looking around so many shops, knowing that I a) can't afford it and b) don't want to carry it! I continued on after the market and rode to Williamstown. It is a pretty little town and I hopped a ferry from there back to St. Kilda. I poked around the beach there a bit before heading back to Toorak for a nice relaxing evening, watching the swimming! Michael Phelps is amazing. He swims like no other! It was pretty neat!

Sunday: I had a lazy morning. I headed down High Street again and had a great lunch. Not much else was going on that day. I hopped the train back out to Cheer Victoria to prepare for the week of cheerleading! I met Derrick who is a former University of Louisville Cheerleader , very skilled! His girlfriend was there as well as her brother and his friend. They are hoping to eventually open a cheer gym up and are all trying to get educated about coaching. All very nice people. We watched Band of Brothers that night. A good movie and then to bed to rest up for a busy week of cheering!
