Wanganui, New Zealand

Wanganui -This is a small town on the west coast of the North Island. It was an awesome stop on my trip because it is not on the normal touristic circuit. Kerry was born and grew up here. I stayed with her brother Micheal and sister-in-law, Kim. It was the New Zealand Masters Games which is a huge event and even bigger because it is heald in such a small town. I went to the evening festivities which included mostly 40-50-ish year old competitors dancing to Rock and Roll music. They were having an awesome time! I don't really know how they all got up the next day to do a tri-athalon or touch football or the like. Maybe they were the ones playing in the scrabble tournament. The next day was great touring around Wanganui, meeting more of Kerry's family, seeing some sights and having a great lunch!
