Where I stayed
Bible Institute of South Africa
I pulled an all-nighter last night with Kelsey. We stayed in the dining room all night working on homework. I worked on my final paper and even though it wan't due till 5 pm I just wanted to get it done so I could enjoy my last full day in South Africa. I fell asleep 2 times for a combined 3 hours about but i finished my paper around 6 30 am this morning :) then at 7 45 Drea, Britni, and I walked to Pick and Pay so that we could buy food to bring home and make.
When we got back we had enough time to put our stuff and then run over to our final chapel. Papa Reg spoke and of course, as always he had a great message. Then it was the final session of the re-orientation and we discussed how they could improve the program and then filled out evaluations and a sheet that we filled out on the very first day of our time here in south africa and just compared to see if we had met our expectations and hopes. Lunch was actually good today, we had gatsbys which are these sandwiches on huge sub like bread that has meat like chicken or fish of steak and then regular sandwich toppings plus french fries or as they call them "chips". and it is really delicious. So lunch was really good today :) Then I hung out with Britni until her time to go then I accompanied her, Reg, Kelsey, and Brenna to the airport where I said goodbye to one of my closest friends from this semester. Britni and I could talk about anything and everything and she always went running with me and to the gym and listened to me and prayed for me and was just an amazing friend. She left today because she is meeting her Grandpa and dad to go to Egypt for the next week.
Anyways after we had seen that Britni made it through security we headed back to campus but Reg insisted that we get milkshakes on the way back so we did :) He treated us too, I am going to miss him so much. I have learned a lot from him. We had a special dinner tonight and it was catered but I still didn't like it :/ so I had dessert and appetizers. I was just in a really bummed mood the whole time though, I think partly because I had to say goodbye to Britni but also because when we were at the airport I felt like I wasn't ready to go yet which is so odd to me because this whole time in Cape Town I have been more than ready to go home but now I'm not so sure.
After dinner we watched Elf as a family and it was really fun :) and now it is 10:50, I have had no sleep and I still need to pack! ah! ok time to get going I suppose.
