After my morning workout with Britni this morning, we had breaki and then got ready to go to the cheetah rehabilitation center. We took the coach bus which still smells like fish for some reason and I sat by Kelsey Parkinson. We used our bus ride to chat, sleep, and listen to Christmas music :) So at this place we went to you could pet the cheetahs if you wanted to but you had to pay to do it. When we first got there though 2 cheetahs were laying against the fence with some of their fur hanging out so I decided that instead of paying to pet them I would just pet them through the fence for free! haha. Many followed me in that decision too. It was kind of like when we pet the lions through the fence except these were laying down and not moving around. So after I spent my 5 minutes there I went with Kelsey P and Teresa to the winery because we were going to get some wine for our parents. I needed their help though because they know wines and I haven't got a clue. Kelsey R also helped too. After we had finished with that we looked through some of the shops there and then went to the restaurant to get something to drink but we had to rush because it was time to go. On the way back we saw seal island! I didn't realize that it was so close to the shore! It's not super close but it is visible from the beach. For those who don't know, Seal Island is the only place in the world that Great Whites breach out of the water all the way when they are hunting. The scary thing is that all these beaches within this bay are the same ones I have been at, although I haven't gone in the water yet. But those beaches are so close to one of the biggest great white hunting grounds! ah!
When we got back Brit and I did our second work out and then headed to the beach! yay! :) AFter we got there though all of our friends left shortly after which was kind of a bummer but Brit and I had fun. The sand was blowing so hard ! It was kind of irritating. We messed around in the sand though and did some handstand and laughed a lot and it was just nice. I love the beach! After I rinsed the sand dunes out of my hair in the shower we had dinner and then we tried to watch the christmas chapel from APU live on our computer but it didn't go so well :( Luckily Carrie had last year's on her computer so we watched last year's Christmas chapel :) And then I found sand in my nose! gross! I can't get rid of it all! lol
Well I am climbing a mountain tomorrow so I got to get some sleep! :)
