This morning began very early for me because since Britni and I bought gym passes for a week we are trying to get our money's worth and go at least once, if not twice a day. So we are going every morning at 5:15 because we have to run a little over a mile there. Well this morning when we were leaving I realized wow we should probably eat something before we go so we went to the kitchen building and typed in the code for it on the keypad then opened the door and we hear this beep, beep, beep and we thought well that is a dinky alarm system, IS that the alarm system? and right as we were about to enter this actual alarm goes off and we were like ah! what do we do?! Because we were pretty sure we were going to wake everyone else up so of course we just ran away lol.
Another crazy thing that happened was when I was at the gym I walked passed a guy on a stationary bike and he asks "are you from Azusa Pacific University?" and after noticing his American accent I said yeah I am. He then proceeded to tell me he graduated from there in 2007 and asked when I graduated and I told him I was here studying abroad with APU. He and his wife have been here for 6 months and are working with a ministry here, I guess they still have 6 more months to go. She was an APU alum too. He asked me if I went to APU though because I had our school's black out shirt on and it was just so crazy! what are the chances I would see someone in another country on the other side of the world and wear that shirt ??

When Britni and I returned we figured everyone would know that we set off the alarm. We were surprised when no one even said anything, and even more that no one even heard it! So it is our little secret :) We left for our peninsula tour today at 9 am and it was pretty cool. We stopped at a garden that was pretty cool then drove some of the most beautiful coastline I have ever seen. It was breath taking. We stopped for lunch at one of these beautiful places to eat our sack lunch, then we drove to the Cape of Good Hope where we climbed up to the light house which was a very steep and long walk! but so worth it :) After that we walked back down then on another trail so we could go to the most south western point of Africa. Let's just say my choice of flip flops and a skirt were NOT the right choice of outfit today lol but I got some sun :) so that was good. Our final stop was the penguins and that was really cool too to see the South African penguins up close.

We got back at 5 and then I had to work on a group project till 6 then had dinner and finished the project and then at 7:30 we left to go to an improve thing just down the street in kalk bay. It was pretty funny, not amazing but enjoyable. Well I need to get in bed... 5:00 a.m. is coming way too soon!
