We've gotten a few surprised / curious emails regarding this 5 and a half month trip. Thus, we've decided to share a rough version of the route we're planning to take: Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador...and maybe Colombia.

It should go without saying that this can and will change. For you nosy buggers, here is slightly more detailed version:

Tonight - We fly to Ushuaia (southernmost city in THE WORLD). We spend a week there taking an intensive language course and hiking.

Mid-March -  We will start to head north through Patagonia stopping off at Puerto Natales, El Calafate, and El Chalten. Looking forward to the W-trek, glaciers, and some great hiking.

Late March -  We expect to be at the bottom of the lake district stopping at El Bolson and Bariloche (known for its chocolate). From there we will head to Santiago, Chile, for a few days as well as visit Valparaiso. Depending on the state of our tans, we may also try to get to the coast, but probably won't go in the freezing cold Pacific sea.

Early April -  We will head to Mendoza, Argentina for a week of wine and relaxation. Then, it will be off to Cordoba. Hoping to take a side trip to Iguazu Falls from there before heading on to Salta.

Mid-Late April - The idea is to work our way to see the salt flats in Uyuni, Bolovia and try visiting the Bolivian amazon and the city of La Paz.

Early May - We start our volunteer project teaching English in Cuzco, Peru for a month. We have scheduled an additional 2 weeks to explore Peru and ensure we include things like the Inca trail/Machu Picchu.

Mid-June - We'll head to Ecuador where we plan to take a trip to the Galapagos Islands.

July-ish - We're scheduled to fly out of Quito, Ecuador on July 30th however we're going to try to sneak in week or two in Columbia...we'll see

So that's the plan. Excited? Get excited. We're super excited! Feed off this magical energy.

We'll keep you up to date along the way and we should be adding blogs about the rest of Buenos Aires soon. Stay tuned.
