Travel Day - Airlie Beach Bound

Sad to leave Nomads hostel at 6.30 this morning, was a good place. As for Cairns itself, without the reef it wouldn't be much really. Unless you're 18 and like dancing on top of the bar.. Did meet a couple of people that would've been nice to spend more time with but that's just the way it goes on this trip!
Walked for my bus which was 25 mins away - with my backpack felt like a hell of a lot more.. Essentially spent the entire day on the bus, 10 hours to be exact. Was ok though, slept and day dreamed mainly as the films were horrendously bad.. Passed lots of different landscapes, loads of mountains and more sugar cane. But also little towns where the houses looked like they belonged on the set of Neighbours with place names like Goodwell & Townsville. The houses looked like they would blow over!
Arrived in Airlie Beach just before the light disappeared, looks very pretty - lots of boats out in the sea. Jumped in the shower and going to a bar I passed earlier where there's some live music playing.
Sad to have missed Butler's Bastille Bash, please update me on what occurred x
