Well adventures begin once more over in western Australia.  I fly to Perth a few days before Cat arrives, and check into the Ozi Inn Backpackers.  Bloody hell, its hot!  The room is tiny with 4 bunk beds squashed in, the god send is the air-con, and actually there was a really good vibe, and met some cool people, and also free pancakes in the morning! yum! though I messed mine up most of the time... don't blame me, its the equipment I was working with....

Perth is much more calmer than Sydney, obviously less people, and quite quirky.  Me and  Nadine a German girl from my hostel went to Cottelsloe beach, with the heat in high 30's the sea was sooo nice for swimming.  Some nights were filled with goon bag drinking (very cheap nasty wine made out of fish guts - the kids like to tell you, little do they know, even the good stuff has fish inside in it....) I really shocked one guy when I told him what was in goon, he was going to google it and come and rub it in my face if it wasn't true....he never knocked on my door!

I booked our camper when I was in Sydney, when I got my car In New Zealand, I was so careful, checking everything over, making sure I wasn't getting scammed.  And I didn't.  However, this time, it dawns on me that we were being conned.  The cost of the camper was not cheap in first place, but we also had to put down a $7500 bond!!!!! and not even an imprint, the money would physically get taken out of account, and then refunded back in!  The only way around this was to take out an extra insurance premium, of $25 a day, this would then lower the bond to only $2500 - we had no choice but to accept this.  But what a con!  I then had to break the bad news to Cat!  and after a bit of research, it seems all but one company had the same policy.

Time for Cat to arrive! YAY! I go with Mark the owner of the hostel to pick Cat up, after a bit of flight delay I see her strolling out with her trolley piled high with bags, I was half expecting another 3 people with her! The I see her very tanned skin, and think - wow Aus sun is strong, she has been in country less than half an hour, and she is darker then all of us!  We have a catch up, the good stuff like all the latest gossip at work, and of course men! Our first meal together in Perth - Gluten free pizza (well not my pizza, I'm not eating that!) from Domino's! I wonder if this is a trend we keep up with along the way....I mean how many gluten free Pizza places could there be in the Outback?!!

I quickly learn after we went to Coles that Cat has a hard time finding food she can eat - Gluten, wheat, dairy, and lactose free - bloody hell  We manage to find the gay food (her words) and realize that we both love Thai green curry....sweet.  We pick up the camper the next day, hand over our credit cards, and learn some basic things about our new friend.  I drive her away, and park her up for the night at the backpacker, with plans to set off 2 days later.  The Mortein bug spray was used to cover the camper, so that made me happy. We had worked out our itinerary, we would cover alot of KM's.  We just had to come up with a name for our camper, instantly MARGARET gets shouted out, (little Britain style) and she has been christened.

We decided to go to Quinnip National Park which is not far from Perth, where we spot a few Roo's and Koala's and have a little nose around.  We took awesome pics of us pretending to be Roo's - the one of cat is sooooo funny! we laughed sooo much looking at the photo!!  I also find a cute duck, which I take quite a few pics of....!
