Left the hotel at 5am in order to get to the airport 3 hours before my flight which was meant to go at 9am. We were then told to go to our gate at 7.30 where they held us there till 9am. We then sat on the runway for a further hour - my connection flight wasn't looking good at this point. The flight took around 9 1/2 hours, with little entertainment. We finally arrived at
Atlanta airport about 30 minutes later than expected giving us 1 hour to make our flight. We then had to pass through passport control we queued up for ages and unfortunately I picked the queue with what has to be the most slowest and chilled out person in the world. Everyone else seemed to be passing through quickly i regretted being told to change queue by the others. The passport guy then decided to walk off for 10 minutes and he decided to shuffle back to his table, making our flight seemed almost impossible now. The inevitable happened so we then had to rebook our flights we were put on standy for the 4.35 flight which was 1 1/2 hours after we had intended. We reached the gate and luckily me, Kempski and Abi received 3 out of the 4 stand by tickets. Despite Speedy and her friend rebooking after me they managed to get actual tickets, so luckily we all made the flight. I then said bye to the group as I decided to find my shuttle to the hotel, when waiting for the shuttle, I found the others were already on the same coach as I had moved on towards the next terminal, we then all stayed at the same hotel. We arrived at the hotel around 7.30 and chilled out round the pool until bed time. It seemed like everyone was at our hotel when Lindsay and Sarah along with some of their mates showed up. It looks like most coaches are staying here as there are a lot of pasty looking people with british accents around here lol.
