It was so good the first time I had to do it again, although on this occasion I didn't have a horrendous hang-over to deal with on the first day. So with the sun blazing we boarded the boat for a few more days relaxing on the Med.
With a tally system on the bar, whereby if you take a beer from the fridge you mark it next to your name, it quickly became apparent that out of the 18 passengers only 4 were borderline alcoholics. Of course two of those were myself and Renee, and the other two Rachel and Andreas- a couple from London, actually Andreas is from Chile. Anyway, with only two teams as serious contenders in the Efes sponsored Eastern Mediterranean cup, it was an interesting 3 days watching the constant tussle at the top of the leader-board. But then on the last night disaster struck. Team Yates-McAuliffe partied too hard in the Smuggler's inn, and as a result the final morning saw the Chilean representatives storm into first place.
Other than trying to drink the boat dry, we did manage to spend a lot of time absorbing massive amounts of solar radiation, whilst smothered in a liquid which can be best described as sunflower oil. We also had a ride on a couple of wave runners. These thing are great. You skim across the ocean at top speed whilst trying to bump over your partners waves. A welcome relief from all that bloody culture.
