Where I stayed
From San Sebastian I took a pretty gruelling 7 hour bus ride to Barcelona. When I arrived at my hostel at 11 PM it seemed as if everyone had just woken up! The streets were packed with people and everyone was drinking and partying at the hostel. The next day for my birthday I met up with Lucas (who came down from Germany) and we had a absolutely great time seeing the city and sampling the cuisine. Barcelona is a beautiful city and it has a great metro system which makes it really easy to get around. Barcelona is famous for the work of Gaudi and it definately lived up to its reputation. La Sagrada Familia was amazing but my favorite Gaudi work was the park he designed, Park Guell. Park Guell is up in the hills overlooking the city and looks like something out of a Tim Burton movie. There are a few buildings that are reminescent of ginger bread houses, a large cave complex and a really cool plateau up top with great views of the city. The food in Barcelona was amazing, great tapas and some interesting Catalan food. Also in Barcelona I got my new credit and atm card so I´m good to go for the rest of my trip! All in all I had great time to Barca and feel refreshed and recharged.
