So this morning I woke up feeling pretty jaded to say the least,Tash and i had decided to take the morning to relax and recover which was good, eventually we met up with Duncan (tash's dad and the groom) and talked about plans for the day, the weather today has been absolutely roasting, must have been at least 40 degrees down on the beach, and that's precisely where we headed for lunch, tash and I had a fruit salad which took them ages to make. But duncans been really great and has paid for everything for us.

After lunch we headed back to the hotel and started to prepare for the wedding, Tash had to shoot off to get ready with the bride so I was left to get ready by myself, which was fine up until I was showering and heard a knock at the door, thinking it was Tash coming back cos she'd forgotten something I jumped out of the shower (luckily grabbed a towel) and opened the door to find, not my beautiful but room service, to say she was shocked to see me soaking wet in a towel would be pretty accurate.

Anyway, after she'd left I finished getting ready and met up with Duncan and some of the other groomsmen and we headed to the venue which was such a wonderful setting.

Unfortunately I was kinda left to mingle with everyone and not really knowing anybody well enough to converse was basically left to introduce myself and attempt to poorly mingle. However soon enough it was time for the service, which was great, the big surprise was the arrival of the baby elephant which brought a bouquet up to the bride, after the ceremony it was time for the photo shoot which took place down on the beach, gathering a lot of attention from other people.

Finally the evening was topped off with a fantastic dinner and speeches, one of which was tash's which i'm really proud of her for doing. Once again I had a nice bit of banter from the lads as we had to do shots as part of this 'magnificent seven' gang we seem to have formed haha having never really done shots it was a knew experience tho stupidly after I said "ah that wasn't so bad" and was promptly greeted with 'ok well here's another one then' and yes I caved into peer pressure and necked it which actually garnered a lot of respect from them all. So after that I was a little bit unsteady but ok haha, Tash's dad also seemed very chuffed to hae me here so I feel that my mission has been accomplished :) even if it has taken copious amounts of alcohol and having to talk to wasted aussies and ex-poms and try not to judge them too much, but its all been good fun and I feel like I can finally start to relax and enjoy the holiday from now on.

But so far its been a great experience, met some lovely people and done things I'd never seen myself doing like taking a speedboat to James Bond island, getting my picture taken with a baby elephant, out drinking a bunch of 40 something aussies, dancing a traditional thai dance on stage with the other blokes! Its all been a great laugh, and i'm pretty well tanned already lol

Tomorrow is gonna be another take it easy one, hoping to hit the swimming pool and just have a nice chilled day in the sun.

Hiya hun,

Sounds like your having an amazing time! Loved the little elephant! Very jealous about the heat and the James Bond island.

You're not missing much back home; rain, snow melting and floods. So make every moment count out there!

Take care xxx
