This by far was one of my best spring breaks ever. I managed to get my Italian "husband"(as our friends would later surprise marry us in the semester)Salma, a friend from Egypt, and Caterina, my Italian friend, to all head on a week and a half long journey to the south of France; with the mission of surfing in Biarritz. The whole trip was done in train and planned to explore as many stops as possible along the TGV south-west line which leaves from Gare D'austerlitz(Paris having 5 main stations all leading with direct train lines to different sections of the country)

We loaded on a train for a 3 city day tour and headed immediately for a town I can defiantly recommend as not fun, Orlean. There we were all tired from waking up early but still excited and not yet hating each other. After a few hours of cold weather we packed on a train and headed to Alex's '"my husband's" destination. A Chateau designed by Da Vinci in Amboise. We arrived upon this minuscule town surrounded by a huge castle like chateau. It was great. With the 3 hours we had left to kill we wandered around towards the river where we relaxed on a stone beach and poked a dead beaver before taking off towards tours.

Now tours was a great student town but unfortunately, I wasn't in the real group spirit (after waking up so early) yet and felt that we should rest, give each other space instead of killing ourselves. To top it off the kebab we ate that night gave me food poisoning. So, I woke up throwing up into the bathroom. Luckily I had a great "husband" who came in to ask me if I was ok, then proceeded to step over me and pee while I lied motionless on the ground(great guy).

It was a rough start but it would defiantly pick up over the week.
