So my two months in Bordeaux are up and after a wonderful time spent with great people I hopped on a train and headed towards Paris to meet up with my family. Well I had been reading about France's inability to deal with a few inches of snow, but since my train was only delayed to paris 15 minuntes I didn't really think that after a whole week of snow they were still struggling. How wrong I was. I woke up at six to make my way to CDG airport only to find thousands of people stranded. It was certainly quite a scene and even after being boarded we were kicked off the plane than to find that the airlines lost our luggage in the airport among the 20000 other missing bags. However relatively speaking we were quite lucky because we were only waiting in the airport 20 hours before we managed to somehow book a train to Munich than later to Italy. So a 48 hours after to landed in Paris we were in Ortesei getting ready to ski. I say lucky because most people were trapped for a week and than even the trains for them were fully booked as well as the hotels

Now, as I mentioned earlier we had lost our bags with all of our stuff. What was the solution? Well if anyone knows my mother they know she is relentless and solution oriented. So after my father had quickly made friends an American lawyer couple she, within the first night, had them pitted against each other in a competion to who could cal airfrance, our airline company, to give us the most compensation money as well as pay for our trip. So, what started as a miserable expereince turned quickly into a way to get free cloths and snowboard stuff. Since than the trip has turned into a wonderful 6 days of snowboard through the alpes, wonderful food, amazing powder, and few ques.

On a side note this place is truely special and i reccomend to anyone looking to visit an incredible place  in europe to come here and see why photos nor blogs do it justice.
