So we stayed our first night in a Kibbutz and still we were a bit hazy from the travels before but we got up nice and early and set off. We started by driving a hour or so to a remote part of the Golan(a important tributary to the sea of Galilee). There we learned about the importance of this river and how it had used to be a Siberian base camp where missiles were shot into the Jewish towns below. That day, being our first, we also started to learn about israel's heroes the likes of which are all soldiers. That day we sayt in a cave, learned about spy trained to live in Syria in Buenos Aires. He became a successful business man there and worked his way to the top. He provided Israel with inestimable knowledge of Syria until he was caught by Russia and was tortured and hung in Damascus square. We continued the day doing activities and learning about different parts of israel and the jewish religion. We than all retired to our Kibbutz for a long nights rest.

The next we woke up early to learn about poets, mystics, and rabbis. First we went to visit the grave of Israel's most famous poets Naomi Shemer. There all 10 soldiers traveling with us sung us her poem. We left there and traveled to Tzfat(more recently part of palestine) where we saw the one of the most special cities of the trip. There we observed glass blowing and walked around for hours. It was quite a beautiful view and we got to learn about some of the opinions of our soldiers and how the felt about the surrounding areas and the history of the area.
