We had a very long run ( maybe 20 hours ) from the wedding in Spain, Granada = > Barcelona => Doha => Mali => Noonu Atol, so by the time we got here we were absolutely shattered and just crashed for the arvo. The sea palne over, took about 45 minutes and was interesting flying over the great expanse of water that makes up the Maldives.

After a good nights sleep we hit the beach. The bungalows on the beach were great and right on beautiful beaches with the swimming pool water lapping at the sand. After about an hour of lying on the beach Chia asked me if she was getting burnt and should put on some sun screen, to which I replied like Im a expert... naah asian people dont burn you are fine, but I made sure to slip slop slap myself as I know that I will fry like an egg if I am not careful. The next day we get up for breakfast and Chia is fried and the only thing she could say is that is the last time I listen to you ?

The resort turned out to be a really great idea, one week of sitting around reading books swimming ,sleeping in , getting massages, walks, watching movies, trying out the retaurants and having cocktails was just what the doctor ordered after the hectic pace we set in Europe. Chia even got over the sun burn and managed to enjoy a bit of the sun herself toward the end of the week.

As I am writing this blog we are waiting for the sea plane to collect us and take us to Mali where we have a seven hour wait, here we go again. As for the blog well thats it, the end of the trip I'll be back in Melbourne starting a new job on Monday, whinging about the end of the Cats era of dominance, Chia will be back at work too, so catch you all around town.

AJ on

I have to say Kel, this is a very amusing Blog.
You have missed your calling mate - do some more writing.
A book of "The World As Seen By Nick Kelly" would be an instant classic.
GO PIES!!
