Good on ya Willie. Just before we set off  we checked out the church in Burgos. What can I say the architecture was impressive, but it still makes me  cringe that these religious types fleece people of their hard earned to build some of the most garish, crass stuff going around. Today being Saturday there was a constant stream of local Burgosians ( if that is what they are called ) getting hitched, providing a constant stream of locals dressed up to the nines heading to the alter. Had a stinker of a tourist lunch, should have known with the pictures, everything had eggs and fries, then headed off to Segovia.

Once again Chia got the driving duties and we got there about 5pm, great little town, very old I think, well it must be because its got a 2000 year old aqueduct from roman times in it. Funny thing this Aqueduct it's huge but when you get to the top of it its just got a trench about 15 centimetres wide to carry water, they would have been absolutely spewing if some smart arse had explained to them how a pipe works just before the grand opening. That night we had dinner in the local plaza and it was absolutely superb. They have a local specialty here which is suckling pig and they literaly cut it into quarters and stick it on your plate. It's a little disconcerting because you can see the little buggers in the retaurant windows laid out in some scene from a nursery rhyme like the three little pigs or something, then BAM there they are on your plate hooves and all. Anyway it was the best pig I have ever had although I ate so much of it I felt like I was going to lose it after dinner and had to to a lap of town to help the little fella go down.
