Today, Stuart is back in work. So I spend the day entertaining myself around Wellington and catching up on my neglected blog.  We meet up for a quick lunch in the city at a downstiars café.  I have a Pumpkin and Feta fritter, it’s gorgeous.  I love the kiwi cuisine, it’s really healthy in comparison to the UK.  After lunch, I go for a walk through the city.  It’s allot nicer this time around.  The last time I was in Wellington I couldn’t even walk outside without being blown sidewards! I think I’ve found my favourite NZ clothing shop.  It’s called Glassons and quite relative to the prettier ranges of H&M in style and colour-palettes.  After treating myself to a new work blouse, wow I’m so good to myself,  I go for a quick coffee in the Old Bank precinct.  It’s sweet, a collection of small boutiques and coffee shops.  I somehow prise myself out of a jewellery shop and continue down Willis street.  The architecture here is really interesting, the classic wooden-walled style of NZ mixed with high-rise glass buildings.  There's allot of Art-deco influence within the decor also.  Ahhh, if only this was my life!  I’m enjoying being nicely chilled out at the moment.  It’s mildly terrifying to think that I’ll be in China a week today, starting my first day of work. Blimey, yes that is terrifying!  But I’m really ready for it now.  I’ve had some interest from another company in HK, so there’s a possibility of placements afterwards.  So wandering through Wellington trying to get back to Stuart's place, and I'm so engrossed by the arcitecture that I somehow do a 360 and end up where I started?! So I book a taxi, safest bet!  So, back at the apartment after somehow finding my way back through Wellington, and I get started on making my first ever Pumpkin soup… hope it works out else I may not be invited again!  Tomorrow I’m flying back to Auckland and going up to Davenport to stay with the Hemmings family.  Then Wednesday I’ll be going to the airport.  My flight’s at 7 am Thursday morning, which means a 4 a.m. check in, so no point in going to the hostel and trying to sleep.  I’ll go to the airport late at night, and spend a few hours sorting myself out, mainly in the baggage weight department!

Yup, gotcha I am IN DEVONport... that could have been an interesting ferry ride!

No, skipped Te Papa. I wanted to see the squid, but Stuart tells me it's shriveled and not that impressive anyway so we didn't miss out.
