Just sending a quick email on my lunch break at work - the office is really nice and everyone here is really friendly - the work we shall be doing in the next few weeks sounds very interesting! Apart from helping to find other volunteers for the Conference in August, we are going to be taking field trip visits to see some clinics around the country also.
This friday am going with the other inters to a place called Unawatuna which is near to Galle on the south coast (so first beach so far!) Ill try and send some pics next week as ive taken loads already. We had our welcome party last nightwhich involved lots of Sri lankan dancing, Gaya (from the Netherlands who im working with) had to wear a Sari and i had to wear a Sarong but it was like a dress! (filth you would have laughed) After lots of dancing we smoked some Shish - all good fun!
